Simple Recipe for Making Chocolate
November 2nd 2010 18:41
One of the things I think about when I think of Europe is gourmet chocolate. I especially associate it with places like France and Italy where chocolate shops made by master chocolatiers abound.
And let me tell you - it's because of my time spent in Europe that I am a bit spoiled. I love artisinal chocolates. Somewhere in this passion I found that I also love making my own chocolate.
So, I thought I'd share you one very simple recipe that you can adapt in an almost endless amount of ways.
1. Melt the chocolate over a double burner. (It can be any kind of chocolate you want!)
2. Stir in something such as mixed nuts or dried fruit.
3. Drop onto a piece of parchment or wax paper and let it set.
And that's it! One combination that I like is white chocolate, almonds, and dried cranberries. But, you can use your imagination. When you take a bite, close your eyes think of the delightful chocolate shops located on winding streets in the middle of Europe. Heaven!
